Signals from the Multi-time frame (MTF) Supertrend indicator for Metatrader 4 are easy to interpret and work as follows:
BUY:
- A strong buy signal is given when all time frames display ‘UP”.
- Place a stop loss below the previous swing low level.
- Exit the buy trade at a fixed take profit target or wait for an opposite trading signal.
SELL:
- A strong sell signal is given when all time frames display ‘DOWN”.

Multi-Timeframe Supertrend + RSI Confirmation Strategy
The Supertrend MTF Forex Signal Indicator MT4 provides trend signals across multiple timeframes, making it great for identifying high-probability trade setups.

Buy Conditions
- The Supertrend MTF indicator shows a buy signal on the M15 chart.
- The trend direction is also bullish on H1 and H4 (Supertrend is green on those timeframes).
- RSI is above 50 but below 70 (indicating bullish momentum without being overbought).
- Enter a buy trade at the close of the signal candle.
Sell Conditions
- The Supertrend MTF indicator shows a sell signal on the M15 chart.
- The trend direction is bearish on both H1 and H4 (Supertrend is red on those timeframes).
- RSI is below 50 but above 30 (indicating bearish momentum without being oversold).
- Enter a sell trade at the close of the signal candle.
Stop Loss and Take Profit
- Stop Loss: Just above/below the Supertrend line on the entry timeframe.
- Take Profit: Aim for 1.5x to 2x the stop loss or exit at the opposite Supertrend signal.
Strategy Notes
- This strategy works best during trending markets. Avoid ranging conditions.
